Babies are napping where?!

Even before I visited Denmark, my husband teased me with the idea of putting our baby daughter outside to nap! I don't know about you, but this is an unsettling topic.
No one I know (that isn't Danish) puts there child outside, willingly. I don't know if this is the effect of America's constant instillment of fear in their media or if it's really a concern. My nightmares, consist of someone kidnapping her, her waking up and falling out of the stroller, or worse climbing out and running into the street. Oh the joys and fears of being a mother :)
This is such a touchy topic in my household. How can you tell a Dane (aka my Hubby) to not do what he has been told to do, what his mother did with him and what her mother did with her, and so on. Not to mention all of his friends and Zoe's (my daughter) daycare that carry on with this tradition as well. There is so much crime in the world...not so much in Denmark, but why put my daughter on a silver platter for all criminals or accidents to take advantage of.

So even though my words say one thing, my actions say another. Translation: Zoe is sleeping outside in her stroller, as I write. It may seem I have been defeated, but I have compromised with a baby monitor and constant glances out the window at my beautiful and peaceful little girl.
